Dr. David Batt went to highschool at Jesuit Highschool in New Orleans, LA in 2001. From there he went to
Hamden-Sydney in Virginia for his undergrad education. He received a double major in Environmental Economics and
Biology in 2005. Following his lifelong dream to become a veterinarian, Dr. Batt then went to Louisiana State
University to receive his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2010. He received extensive small animal and surgical
experience while working in Lafayette area from 2010-2017. Dr. Batt is on the board of directors for The Inner Pup of
New Orleans (TIPNO), which offers low cost veterinary services and provides education to communities with high animal
surrender rates. He is also one of the attending veterinarians at the Bariatric Research Institute (BRI). Dr. Batt
works with several animal rescues in New Orleans and the surrounding areas to provide veterinary care for animals
saved from high-kill shelters.
